Good to know
Buckeye covers roughly 393 square miles, so jobs range from HOA master-planned communities near the White Tanks to farm and desert acreage near the Gila and Hassayampa rivers.

A big city with a lot of ground to cover

Buckeye is Arizona's second-largest city by area, at roughly 393 square miles. It stretches from the southern White Tank Mountains and Skyline Regional Park down across Interstate 10 to the Gila River and the Buckeye Hills, with the Hassayampa River running through the northern part of the city.

That size means "Buckeye" can mean very different things on lift day. A job in Verrado, near the southern White Tanks, is a short run from Surprise compared with a job south of downtown. When you call, give us the address or cross streets so Don can plan the route and timing. Call 602-615-0712 or text 623-258-8361 to schedule.

Master-planned communities: HVAC lifts and spas

Much of Buckeye's growth is in master-planned communities like Verrado, Sundance, Westpark, Tartesso, Festival Ranch and Sienna Hills. For HVAC contractors working these neighborhoods, the jobs we lift most are:

  • Condensers and heat pumps that need to go over the house or a block wall to a pad in back
  • Rooftop package units on homes and commercial buildings that have them
  • Old equipment coming out on the same visit the new unit goes in

Newer homes in these communities often have concrete tile roofs and two-story floor plans, which can mean a longer reach from the street to the backyard. Tell us the roof type, the number of stories and where the equipment needs to land, and send a photo of the front of the house. That lets Don figure out the setup before the truck rolls.

Homeowners in the same neighborhoods call us for spas and hot tubs, outdoor kitchen pieces and other heavy items that won't fit through a side gate. If it can't go through the door, over the roof it goes.

Planned communities come with HOA rules, so check with yours before lift day. Some cities require a right-of-way or street-use permit to set up in the street; check with the City of Buckeye if the truck needs to sit in the roadway. See our HVAC crane lifts page for how we work with crews.

New construction: trusses and roofing materials

A growing city means a lot of building. We help framers and roofers with:

  • Truss lifts for custom homes, additions, garages, shops and barns
  • Bundles of roofing materials landed on the roof so the crew can spread them out
  • Building materials and heavy components set where the crew needs them

For truss sets, have the trusses delivered where the truck can reach them, the walls ready, and a crew on top to receive and set. Clear communication between the operator and the crew on the ground keeps things moving. Total trust between the cab and the rigger on the ground makes the impossible look easy.

Farm and desert acreage

Not all of Buckeye is subdivisions. Around the edges of the city there is still farmland and open desert acreage, especially toward the rivers. On those properties, we lift:

  • Well pumps, pipe and tanks for well crews
  • Prebuilt sheds and small outbuildings
  • Livestock and farm equipment, tanks and machinery

Historic downtown Buckeye along Monroe Avenue has its own mix of older homes and small commercial buildings, where alleys, trees and overhead lines can shape the setup much like any older town center.

For acreage jobs, the access route matters most. Tell us about dirt drives, wash crossings, gates and anything soft near the setup spot. Also point out overhead power lines: OSHA requires crane equipment and loads to stay at least 20 feet from lines up to 350 kV unless specific procedures are used (29 CFR 1926.1408).

Before you call

Every lift is different. Call with the weight of the item, how far it needs to go and where the truck can park, and Don will confirm the lift. Photos help, especially of the front of the house or the drive in, the setup area and the landing spot. If a job needs more crane than ours, we have trusted relationships with other crane companies.

Crane lifts we do in Buckeye

Frequently asked questions

Do you cover all of Buckeye, including south of I-10?

Yes, we work across Buckeye, from Verrado and Festival Ranch in the north to downtown and the areas south of Interstate 10. Because the city is so large, drive times vary a lot by location. Share the address or cross streets when you call so Don can plan the trip and confirm the lift.

Can you set trusses for a new shop or barn in Buckeye?

Yes, truss lifts for shops, barns, garages and custom homes are part of what we do. Have the trusses delivered within reach of where the truck can set up, the walls ready, and your crew in place to receive. Send the truss count and sizes, and Don will confirm whether the set works with our crane.

Do I need HOA approval for a crane lift in Verrado or another Buckeye community?

Check with your HOA first, because each community has its own rules about work trucks and equipment. A quick call ahead of time avoids problems on lift day. If the truck needs to set up in the street, also ask the City of Buckeye whether a right-of-way or street-use permit is required.
